Camping Sulzbachtal
Not far from Staufen, surrounded by vineyards and with its own natural swimming lake, lies the 5-star Sulzbachtal campsite. Wine is very important in the region, and there are various hiking trails near the campsite, including wine trails. The small but beautiful town of Sulzburg in the immediate vicinity could also be interesting for your trip to the Münstertal if you fancy a cosy afternoon with coffee and cake or a stroll through the medieval alleyways.
Camping Belchenblick
You will find the Belchenblick campsite directly near Staufen, on the banks of the Neumagen river. Comfort is also provided here and you can use the usual campsite facilities. You can also hire bicycles, mountain bikes, inline skates or even a car, or take a dip in the indoor or outdoor pool. From your pitch, you can set off on various hikes or cycle tours in the Black Forest or spend a leisurely day in Staufen.

Sights and excursions in the Münstertal
Freiburg im Breisgau
Freiburg, it might be the most beautiful university city in the Black Forest. Apart from the city's famous sights, such as Freiburg Minster, you will find cosy cafés, bars and restaurants here. The best view of the city, especially at sunset, is from the Schlossberg, but a stroll through the many pretty alleyways is also a real feast for the eyes.
Hiking in the Münstertal
Are there hiking trails and beautiful excursion destinations in the Münstertal? A few (hundreds) perhaps. Here's just a small selection.
Todtnauer Waterfall
Perhaps not the highest natural waterfall in the whole of Germany, but the highest in Baden Württemberg. Various (circular) hiking trails lead you to the waterfall, and those with a head for heights can even see it from above thanks to the suspension rope bridge. It's enough to make a sandwich fall out of your hand.
Fahler Waterfall
The Fahler waterfall, not that far from the Todtnau waterfall, is also a sight to behold. Literally, as it is easily accessible for pedestrians and hikers via hiking trails and bridges. It is often a little quieter here, as the Fahl Waterfall does not enjoy quite the same level of fame as the Todtnau Waterfall.
Castellberg
On the Castellberg near Sulzburg, your hike takes you through vineyards and past various sites, some of them historical, which are perfect for a short breather. On the Castellberg, you will find the foundations of a medieval castle, the downy oak forest and a viewing tower, among other things. You can go there, but you don't have to. You can also simply enjoy nature and wander along.
Belchen
The Belchen is probably one of the most popular mountains in the area, and not without reason. If you take a look at the views from its summit, it's easy to see why it attracts so many visitors year after year. There are many hiking routes and circular hikes of varying degrees of difficulty to choose from.
Dreisamtal cycle path
Cycle tour, but relaxed please. The Dreisamtal cycle path takes you 30 kilometres around the valley with minimal gradients. Along the way, you can look forward to beautiful views, swimming in the Dreisam and various refreshment stops along the way. A cycle tour, but a relaxed one - we love it!
